Room was ok quite area but he didn't seem very concerned...

Room was ok quite area but he didn't seem very concerned about his guest just the money it u are renting rooms out u need to care more than that

U can't check in till 3pm we arrived at 5am had to wait to get in at 3pm he is running it like a part time business it's a service business 3pm is to late to check in the add said breakfast included he put coffee out one day the gave nothing the next 2 days very poor wouldn't stay there again

Location was great and totally loved the youthful vibes of the neighborhood. The room was spacious - big enough for 2 persons. Whenever we return home from whole day of being out in the cold, we were always greeted by a warm room. The floor was always heated. We loved lying down in the floor! :)

- The shower has an unpleasant smell - could be coming from the drainage. - We weren't able to eat breakfast on our last day (not sure if the food ran out before we were able to check but we were waiting for the breakfast early) - Had trouble contacting the host on our last day (he replied a few hours after that his phone was broken and is understandable but this might be a problem on a different situation for other guests if he cant be reached) plus points though he was very responsive to my questions before we came to Seoul and it was alright with him that our check-in time was around 2am already

The family room’s comfortable w/ private bathroom. The guesthouse is Located not to far from the subway, super closed to gs25 store. This place is clean & helpful staff w proficient English skill.

Decent stay but don’t expect spectacular

Relatively near to train station, double bed was comfortable, has convenience stores and shops nearby

Everytime I step into our room there is a musty smell, a little bit of mould in the toilet and many small insects was spotted by my and my friend. There’s also some stains so it’s not the most clean imo.

What was the highlight of Huayuan House in Hongdae

A lot of improvements need to be made if they want to be a proper guesthouse.

I stayed in the 4-bedroom dormitory. The bed is very comfortable and spacious enough for me. My place is on the 1st floor so I don't have to climb any stairs. The location is quite good. Not very touristy. But if it's your first time in Seoul, Myeongdong area would be better since it's a lot nearer to tourist attractions.

The toilet is shared with several other people and it can get quite smelly at times. I don't think this is acceptable since I stayed in dormitory before and their toilet is clean all the time. They also don't clean the dormitory area daily. I stayed for 6 nights and I only see proper breakfast the first 2 days. The remaining days are just what was left from the day before. Oh, I almost forgot, the biggest fault that they did was my bed area was not tinted / shielded at all. I stayed for 2 nights not realizing that people can see me on my bed from the outside! Terrible.

Clean, comfortable, cool, and cheap!

Clean room, big beds, good A/C, nice outdoor space - a fantastic place for the price!

Just keep in mind, there probably won’t be anyone on site for check in, you’ll have to call/message. Staff will show up promptly, but if you don’t have wifi, this is important to know.

Good property in Seoul

Location of the house was very convenient because it was walking distance from Hongkik University Station. The rooms were also clean and spacious. Will come back again!

The bath towels provided were small (hand towel size). They didn't have any big towels on hand. The breakfast provided was very simple, and sometimes not provided by 9am, which was the time they specified.

Building needs a refresh. Everything is in kid format, I didn’t fit in the bathtub (just fit while sitting) Bed was hard

The breakfast is horrible!!!

The breakfast isn't fresh and not be provided every day. We stay at this house four night, only provide breakfast at the fourth day. And the breakfast is very sample, the toast is moldy. There is nobody dare to eat it!!!

Would be better if house keeping is available daily

The location is just 100m fr d nearest subway. 2 comfy queen size beds for 4 of us.

no house keeping, no facilities to clean our room. bedsheet is just changed once in the 8 days we were there. water dispenser needs to be shared between 4 rooms, one day it is off n we need to buy our own water n boil in rice cooker . breakfast is minimal, even bread needs to be requested
